The museum shop in the Hunter House Victorian Museum is the last stop during your guided tour, but is also open during the regular hours of operation:
Wednesday through Saturday 10 AM - 3:30 PM and Sunday 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM, April through December.
The shop carries a large inventory of Dover Publications relating to the nineteenth century – fashion paper dolls, stained glass coloring books, stencil books, reproduction art postcards, history of costuming, architectural pattern books and the like. Prices are more than reasonable! Dover also produces a “Thrift Classics” line of literature; the museum carries juvenile titles such as
Black Beauty, Alice Through The Looking Glass and
Little Women as well as popular adult classics such as
The Raven, Pride and Prejudice and The Poems of Robert
Frost.

The ever popular American Girls series Samantha is available, plus locally crafted beautiful dresses and matching shoes for the 18 inch doll.
Past times from the Victorian Era are available for today’s youngsters in the shop: marbles, jacks, Noah’s Ark play sets, tea sets and books of hand shadows.
Victorian inspired paper goods are a favorite item for shoppers – note cards with tea bags included, highly embossed stationery, reproduction scrap and stickers, address books and journals and more
What’s your cup of tea? Many tea-themed accessories are featured: books, stationery, recipe books, tea cups and even jewelry.
And a lovely line of Era inspired jewelry is offered from Collectibles – charm bracelets, brooches, earrings and even children’s jewelry.
Please, stop in and visit with us, especially when you need a special gift for a hostess, a birthday, a secret pal or other special need!!
