Join us for this new and exciting event – a show and sale of vintage clothing from North Carolina antiques dealer Connie Marks, proprietor of Victoriana. Linger over stunning period garments and accessories, all of which may be purchased! Skirt catchers, camisoles, lawn dresses, fans, plus fine linen’s for the lady’s boudoir and the infant’s nursery. This exclusive sale is a must for Victorian and Edwardian enthusiasts.
Admission $4 per person.

Gilding the Lily June 1, 10:30 AM
Join us at the Freemason Abbey Restaurant for this new one-of-a-kind vintage fashion show. The delightful gals from History Chicks model a variety of turn-of-the-century fashions – ball gowns to swimwear! The show concludes with a light luncheon. 
Admission is $20 per person, which includes lunch.

Victorian Children’s Hour – “Vive la France!” June 8, 10 AM
Children aged 4 – 7 are invited to join us for a summer of travel and adventure – to France!! Learn to speak a bit of French, meet Madeline and wander through Monet’s garden. The hour- long session is filled with stories, art and activities. Something different each month June, July and August.
Admission is $3 for members and $4 for nonmembers. Reservations are required; please contact us or call 757-623-9814.

Samantha & Friends – “Vive la France!” June 8, 1 PM
Young ladies aged 7 and older are invited to explore the world of France – eats and treats throughout the summer. A different program June, July and August explores the artists of France, the great literature and the historic personages.
Admission is $5 for members and $6 for nonmembers. Reservations are required; please contact us or call 757-623-9814. These programs fill quickly!!

A Rose Tea June 30, 3 PM
Relax in the museum garden with afternoon tea, rose flavored, of course. A full array of sweets and savories accompany your tea.

125th Wedding Anniversary Celebration of the Hunters

Bound for Glory August 18, 3 PM
Don your hallelujah bonnets and bring along your tambourines as we recreate an old-fashioned tent revival. There will be singin’, preachin’, and of course eatin’! A picnic basket of Victorian favorites will be served to help sustain body and soul during this ‘uplifting’ afternoon!

Time For Tea September 27 – 29 
Tour the museum as it is filled with dozens of tea tables – 
tables designed by area designers, merchants and organizations. 
Some are nostalgic, some antique, some whimsical; all are 
delightfully designed around the taking of tea. “Tea By the Sea,” 
“A Bride’s Tea,” “Nursery Tea” …… Designers include Rowena’s, 
Seeley’s Florist, The Hunter House Victorian Tea Society, The 
White Rabbit …….. and more! Special teas will be offered in the 
garden throughout the weekend – please call for more details!!
