In a world of changing demographics and competition for scarce
resources, ACL encourages and supports collaborative efforts by bringing
together the leaders of these partnerships to share their experiences and
strengthen their organizations.
The most concentrated ACL networking activity is the annual National Conference
which attracts partnership directors and leaders from government, business, and
the public sector. Conference sessions focus on program and service development,
organization management, trends in higher education, and resource strategies to
sustain partnerships. Recent conferences have featured workshops on topics as
diverse as management style for partnership staffs, proposal preparation for
specific federal competitions, program delivery using compressed video
technology, cost saving among institution, faculty and staff development and
current national issues in higher education.
