Association for Consortium Leadership’s
Strategic Plan of Action

At the March 2005 meeting of the Board of Directors of the Association for Consortium Leadership (ACL), a Strategic Plan of Action was developed as a tool designed to give guidance to the organization’s future. The Board focused on five main areas it thought would be essential for the relevance and growth of ACL: Assessment, Membership, National Voice, Professional Development, and Research. Committees, comprised of Board members and general membership, were formed to represent each of the five areas. The committees developed goals. Since the formulation of the Strategic Plan and creation of the committee structure, each of the committees developed its own goals and objectives. Unlike many strategic plans, the Board wanted ACL’s Plan to focus on action items that would engage the membership and result in something useful for the organization and its members. Below you will find information regarding each of the Committees formed to implement the Strategic Plan of Action. If you are a member of the Association for Consortium Leadership, and would like to join any of these Committees, please call the ACL Office at 757-683-3183 or e-mail Ms. Nicola Beltz, ACL Program Manager, at nicolabelt@aol.com.
